Watford funding programme enters second phase

Posted by Richard in Local News, 18th August 2010, 10:10am

The second round of Watford Council’s Annual Funding Programme kicked off earlier this week (Tuesday 17 August), and community groups, youth groups and organisations can apply to undertake projects that help make Watford either a healthier or safer place to live.
When applying for the 2010/2011 funding awards, organisations are asked to consider and address at least one of One Watford’s Sustainable Community Strategy Priorities, which focus on making Watford either a healthier or safer town.
Dorothy Thornhill, mayor of Watford said: “I would encourage any local community groups and organisations who are working to make Watford a healthier and safer town to apply for this funding. It is a priority of Watford Borough Council to support the good work undertaken by all our local voluntary organisations.”
