Watford's spring conservation programme

A spring nature conservation programme has been devised by Watford Borough Council across the town's parks and green spaces:

Tuesday 16 March

Cassiobury Park Local Nature Reserve

The Herts & Middlesex Wildlife Trust will be constructing a bird hide on the nature reserve. 

Meet at: Rustic Bridge, Langley Way entrance, Cassiobury Park, Watford Start at: 10am

Saturday 20 March

Cassiobury Park Local Nature Reserve

Finishing off the bird hides and also picking litter to help keep the park looking beautiful. 

Meet at: Gade Avenue car park, Cassiobury Park, Watford    

Start at:10am 

Saturday 20 March 

River Colne clean up Join the Friends of Knutsford Playing Fields to clear litter from the river and surrounding park. 

Meet at: Car park on corner of Radlett Road and Colonial Way (opposite Sanyo building), Watford   

Start at: 10.30am 

Saturday 27 March 

Albans Wood Local Nature Reserve Join the Friends for an early Spring bird watching walk and litter clearance in this attractive woodland. 

Meet at: Albans Wood, Woodgate entrance, Woodgate, Watford 

Start at: 10am
